Here are the new building instructions of the LPE 3i with Lpub and thanks to Ansgar Mährlein.
As I have written in the review of the Lego Pneumatic Engine 3 In-line (LPE 3i), this is an engine based on the LPEpower works but rather modified. First of all, the pneumatic switches are new and not old which is better I think to rebuilt it. Secondly, the engine works without modifications (no drilling, no modified switch). The engine runs at 100 rpm without modifications but if you modifie it, it can run faster. Ansgar Mährlein has done the CAD model of the engine and created the building instructions therefore many thanks to him ! I have just added a connecting layout for the pneumatic hoses.

I have corrected it ! Thank you
hi,
I just checked the rebrickable, but it says set not found any ideas?
I have the same problem as Chris c. Can you help me?
Does it works w/ old and not modified cylinders ?
For me he don’t works w/ my old cylinders…
Good little engine! When I first built it I got the angle of the middle part of the crank very slightly off so two switches ended up being in neutral and you had to turn the wheel to keep it going. Took it apart and adjusted the crank and now it works like a charm! Can’t wait to modify my cylinders and get some real rpms out of it 🙂
salut est-ce possible de la faire avec 2 pistons svp
salut est-ce possible de la faire avec que 2 pistons svp
That´s the first LPE engine with LEGO parts that i have in my boxes…
Thank you a lot, Nico 😀
This can be really good but my engine is not working.
I made it from your instructions and connected pipes but the second piston is not synchronized with the others. Cause if i take that “bad” piston out then the two pistons are hardly working. I tried to put there another piston but it didnt help. then i tried to change the pipes but it didnt help too. So plese help if you can.
This is a really great engine! I modified the switches and cylinders myself and this really runs smooth and powerful, I have it powering the unimog set (8110)
Were you get the parts;)
without modifications, how does the torque of this LPE compare to a PF XL motor?
